Chairman’s Message

Mr. Albert W. D'souza

Over the years the field of pharmaceutical sciences has grown with research and development. This profession has a large socio-economic relevance to the Indian economy. It is committed to deliver high quality drugs and formulations at an affordable price to the general population. The transformation of the sector, which is both desired and necessary to reach the global standards, has made commendable progress. With this in mind Aldel Education Trust decided to establish St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research (SJIPR) at Palghar, so as to provide an opportunity to the semi-urban and rural youth of Palghar District in Maharashtra to develop and create a better tomorrow.

The vision of our Institution is ‘Excellence in Serving to Educate and Educating to Serve’. We envision the development of an institution, which provides highly proficient technical education and knowledge. It is our mission to inculcate in our students good human values and provide them opportunities to realise their potential to the fullest.

There is a saying “Education is what survives, when what has been learnt is forgotten”. The dedicated and enthusiastic team of faculty members of St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research shall leave no stone unturned in their commitment to educating each student, thus enabling them to venture forward towards their goal in life. The education the students will receive is the stepping stone to their future career – a career bright with the promise of opportunities for professional growth as well as the satisfaction of contributing to the development of healthcare in the society.

With this in mind Aldel Education Trust, in the primitive stages of development itself, has provided for state-of-the-art infrastructure and all the facilities needed for the pharmacy course. It is not only teaching, but also co-curricular and extracurricular activities that shall be provided for. We sincerely desire that our students pass out from this Institution with not just a Degree in Pharmacy, but as healthier human beings, realizing that pharmacy and its related professions are among the most noble and honorable callings that one may seek. They demand the highest degree of ethical behaviour, and morality and an ever-present awareness and sensitivity to human problems.

I wish St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research all the best.

Mr. Albert W. D’souza
