BUILDING: St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research is housed in an independent building in a large 13.5 acre campus at Vevoor, Palghar. The building is located in lush green premises and has a well-stocked library, state-of-the-art Computer centre, well-equipped Laboratories and spacious Classrooms. Instrument Room and Machine Room are fully operational with modern equipments and machinery. The playground and recreational facilities provided create a congenial environment for students.
The SJIPR Library has acquired a valuable collection of about 9315 books across 1258 titles. The current journal subscription is 33, which includes 12 international and 21 national journals.
The Library also subscribes to E-Journals.
The library can accommodate about 60 users at a time.
Computer Facilities have been provided to enable students to view the audiovisuals/CDs available with the latest editions of books.
The latest news in the field of pharmaceuticals is displayed on the notice-board for update.
Reprographic facility is made available for the benefit of the users.
St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research has spacious, well equipped and advanced computing facilities. All the departments, library and administrative office are equipped with 24x7 Internet connectivity, through a 100 Mbps leased line. There are separate computer labs for B.Pharm and M.Pharm
St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research has 11 modern laboratories that are designed to meet the requirements of all courses conducted. They are of adequate size to allow easy and safe working for the students. They are equipped with the necessary infrastructure in terms of equipment's, apparatus and chemicals.
The College has spacious Classrooms provided with necessary ICT facilities for effective teaching learning process.
The garden houses over 30 species of plants. It functions as an educational display of medicinal plants herbs and spices.
INSTRUMENT ROOM and MACHINE ROOM are fully operational with state-of-the-art equipments and modern machinery. Equipments and machines required to deal with dosage development including liquid orals, ointments, creams, gels, powders, capsules, tablets, coating pan, size reduction mills are in use. Sophisticated analytical instruments necessary for the analysis of the various formulations have been provided for. The campus is provided with power 24x7, and UPS services required for the operation of these equipments and machinery during analysis and testing are available.
